“For the last year, I have had the immense privilege of returning to a childhood passion: ceramics. As a scientist and full time student, finding time to be creative has often been a challenge, but this past year has been an invaluable lesson in the critical need for creative outlets–there is no medicine more potent than artistic expression.
Returning to ceramics has inspired me to examine our world with a childlike sense of wonder, to meet everyday experiences with curiosity and excitement, and to run outside after rain to look for big snails. I acknowledge that I am simply a kid with a magnifying glass, flipping over rocks to look for worms…and I embrace it.
I have delighted in creating pieces that allow me to infuse some of nature’s whimsy into my everyday life, and I am so honored to share some of my work with you.”
